工作营是一个协作型的设计建造练习,旨在寻找计算砌体和3D打印软硬材料之间的协同作用。参与者将看到一个定制的交互式设计环境(IDE)。IDE能够保证设计几何在结构上和材料上可行,并通过压力主导性材料三维打印建造。

The workshop is a collaborative design-build exercise which seeks synergies between computational masonry and 3D printing with soft-rigid materials. Participants will be presented with an bespoke Interactive Design Environment (IDE). The IDE enables the synthesis of geometries that are structurally and materially feasible vis-a-vis 3d printing with compression-dominant materials.

Shajay为学员们做了关于引入自动化机器人3D打印所带来的设计意义和机会的讲座。讲座基于Zaha事务所的设计实践和AA、ETH的研究项目,对本次设计营所需用到的设计路径、工具和方法进行了全面的串联,提高了学员们对参数化作为设计介入一种生产系统的理解。

Federico Borello 和 Taole Chen的教学聚焦于工具编程的原理和方法,向学员们讲解了对形态生成和机器人运动进行控制的软件工具包的制作和原理,并引导学员们进行了初步的几何形态探索。借助Photoshop软件的“layer”原理,通过在顶面和地面两个平面定义不同的场域进行互相干涉,生成层级组成的不同几何形态。

设计成果
